Memorial Day Picks: The Best Bags from the Spring/Summer Sales

I know I haven’t done one of these in a while, but I was browsing through all of the (pretty amazing) sales this week and wanted to share my picks. There are so many great bags on sale right now across price points. Enjoy!

Mar y Sol – Hana Tote ($83)
Capitalizes on the straw bag trend, but functional enough for summer beach days.

Furla – Mini Metropolis Crossbody ($209)
This one updates a classic and gives it new life with this season’s biggest color: yellow.

Mansur Gavriel – Suede Flap Backpack ($600)
I’m not saying an entire brand is a trend, but Mansur Gavriel’s bags are definitely ubiquitously trendy. I just bought the Lady bag and already have my eye on one of their backpacks.

Functional & Everyday

Smythson – Panama Mini Crossbody Camera Bag ($357)
Camera bags are timeless and Smythson makes some damn good ones. I wholeheartedly believe Smythson is an underrated brand in America, but that’s a topic for another day.

Prada – Quilted Small Camera Bag ($782)
I know, I know – the one before this was also a camera bag, but they’re just so versatile. This one is no different – but comes in a cute baby pink shade!

Chloé – Faye Mini Backpack ($1,191)
So I waffled about putting this one on here, but ultimately decided to because it’s just too cute. Backpacks are obviously functional, but the bohemian touch that Chloé brings to the table really cements this as a sale favorite for me.

Classic & Cult-Favorites

3.1 Phillip Lim – Mini Pashli Satchel ($586)
This is hands down a favorite bag of mine. Bi-annual sales are the best places to find the Pashli’s deeply discounted.

Chloé – Mini Drew Chain Bag ($1,220)
I think this was the bag that really helped shape the notion that handbags could be worn like jewelry – the chain strap and gold hardware made this an iconic bag. The success of the Drew has tipped Chloé’s newest bags (Nile, Faye, and Pixie) into stardom too.

Givenchy – Mini Antigona ($1,386)
Hands down one of the best sale finds! The Antigona line is a firm cult-favorite and each season Givenchy brings them out in an assortment of different colors and leathers.

Balenciaga – Metallic Edge Classic City ($1,489)
Fashion in the 2000’s wouldn’t be a thing without Balenciaga City’s. This one has a sleeker leather body with updated trims.

What have been some of your favorite finds in this season’s sales? Are there any bags that you’ve picked up on a whim and loved?
