On the Street: MARC by Marc Jacobs Rosa Straw Tote

Marc By Marc Jacobs Straw Bag

Bag Watch: Your bag is so summery! Where did you get your bag?

Shina: Thanks! I actually got mine from Nordstrom Rack like five years ago. I initially picked it up to use as a beach bag. But now that the straw tote trend is back, I’ve been using it as a general day bag.

BW: Straw totes seem like they can be a hassle, do you find this one easy to use?

Shina: Yeah I think so! It’s super light and I can put a lot inside. I also like that it came with a pouch on a chain. At the beach I’m also able to fit a whole towel which is nice.

BW: What else do you like about this bag?

Shina: I love the pop color – it just adds a lot to the overall look and feel of the bag. I’m so glad I didn’t donate this bag back in the day…trends really do come back around!

BW: Is there anything you dislike about it?

Shina: The main gripe I have with this tote is with how wide the opening is. Most straw totes don’t come with a zipper, so this one is no different. But when I’m walking around the city, I feel like the wide opening on this tote just means my wallet could be easily pick pocketed.
