On the Street: Tory Burch York Buckle Tote

BW: What’s your story about this bag?
Natasha: I was carrying this old Dooney & Bourke bag for years but the leather was falling apart and it was starting to sag a lot. After my last birthday, I thought it was a good time to get a new bag so my parents purchased this one as a gift!

BW: What were you looking for during your search?
Natasha: I wanted something large enough to hold my test prep books and my work laptop because I lug them both around some days. At the same time, I also didn’t want a bag that would be too big and empty on the days I have neither of those items with me. I think this was a good fit because it walks that thin line that separates “too big” from “too small”.

BW: What else do you like about this bag?
Natasha: I love the color – I feel like it goes well with everything. Even with neutral outfits, it provides a nice contrasting pop of color. I also like that there’s a middle pocket that my laptop fits perfectly into. And it definitely has that form that I was looking for.
BW: Anything that didn’t live up to your expectations?
Natasha:
I guess, on the other hand, the form is also troublesome when I’m on a packed subway and I feel like my bag is getting squished or deformed. Also, the short handle makes it less comfortable to carry on my shoulder than my old bag. But, it is, of course, much prettier than my old one since these straps don’t droop.
